Golden Moss

The Moss is about feeling connected to the world around us and being part of something bigger than ourselves while at the same time being a powerful individual.

Inspired by the antiquity and diversity of moss, I created a series of colorful universes in which each shape is connected to its surroundings but still has its own identity. The series exists of an X amount of pieces. Each piece has its own unique identity and build up.

All pieces were made using ink and paper. Using ink is like directing improvisation. I let the ink flow but also stir it into what it needs to become. To me, this makes the image so much more lively.
